Technogym reports strong ESG performance in 2024: innovation, circularity, and wellness at the core
Technogym enhances its sustainability impact with increased supplier ESG audits, full renewable energy use in production, and major employee wellbeing outcomes.
Cesena, May 2025 – Technogym has reported significant improvements in its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance, as outlined in its 2024 ESG Report. Building on its long-standing commitment to wellness, sustainability and innovation, the company has strengthened its leadership position as a global benchmark in responsible business practices.
In 2024, MSCI ESG Research upgraded Technogym's ESG rating to A level, and EcoVadis awarded the company a Gold Medal, reflecting its performance across environmental, social and ethical dimensions.

Innovation and responsible design: ESG Embedded in the supply chain
Technogym made major strides in responsible design and supply chain management. In 2024, 32 ESG audits were conducted on suppliers, almost doubling from 17 in 2023. These audits now cover 24% of all purchases, a marked increase from 13% the previous year.
Furthermore, Technogym’s Human Powered product line now includes 13 models, enabling users to generate energy while training—an innovative approach to product sustainability.

Environmental impact: circularity and clean energy
Technogym’s production facilities now operate on 100% renewable electricity, a major milestone in its decarbonization journey. From a circular economy perspective, 50% of products in scope are refurbished, giving them a second life and reducing waste. Additionally, 90% of packaging materials are now FSC and PEFC certified, ensuring responsible sourcing of paper and wood-based components.
The Technogym Village, the company’s integrated headquarters and wellness campus, continues to serve as a low-impact model in sustainable architecture and clean energy. Further feasibility studies are underway to transform the Village into a true local energy hub.

Social impact: Wellness at Work
Technogym’s internal wellness strategy, "Working for Wellness", continues to yield exceptional results. The program offers employees personalized health services, a healthy restaurant, fitness resources, and regular education on healthy lifestyles. As of 2024:
- 80% of employees are physically active (vs 34% national average)
- 57% show strong cardio-metabolic health levels (vs 28% national average)
Wellness for the community: the Wellness Valley model
Technogym’s impact extends well beyond its own operations. The company continues to support the Wellness Valley initiative, a model for regional wellness development promoted by the Wellness Foundation.According to the Wellness Valley Report 2024, the Romagna region—where the initiative was first launched—outperforms national health benchmarks:
- 55.6% of the population is physically active (vs 48.3% national average)
- 15.6% of adults are sedentary (vs 28.1% national average)
- 10.5% of seniors are at risk of chronic disease-related disability (vs 17% national average)
- The regional wellness economy grew by 50% from 2011 to 2022 and now contributes €1.7 billion annually
