Technogym appointed as official national supplier to IPC & IAAF World Championships 2017

London 2017 – the Athletic and Para Athletics World Championships taking place this summer at the London Stadium in the Olympic Park – have appointed Technogym as the official fitness equipment supplier.

More than 3,000 world class athletes from over 200 countries will compete at London’s biggest sporting event since the London 2012 Olympic Games. Technogym will equip the athlete training facilities with state of the art cardio, strength and functional equipment to provide first class training facilities for the athletes both in the build-up and during the Championships.

Some of the innovative equipment athletes will be training on include the newly released SKILLROW: the first indoor rowing solution designed to improve anaerobic power, aerobic capacity and neuromuscular abilities; SKILLMILL, a non-motorised functional training product specifically designed for Athletic Performance Training; and Pure Strength plate loaded equipment.

“We are incredibly proud to have been selected as the official national supplier for the Championships in London. The athletes will have access to the necessary cardio, strength and recovery equipment for their warm up, warm down and any other training needs. Through our long-standing associations with elite sport and our dedicated Research and Development team we are able to create some of the most advanced equipment and technology for the world’s top athletes. We look forward to seeing the athletes using our equipment throughout the Championships,” says Nerio Alessandri, Technogym founder and president.

Neils de Vos, Championship Director for London 2017, said: “Technogym has an excellent record of supplying high class gym and fitness equipment at major international sporting events so we are delighted to have them on board.  First rate facilities are vital to an athlete’s preparation and recovery and we want all athletes in London this summer to be fit and well before, during and after the Championships. I am really looking forward to seeing the Technogym facilities installed and in use.”
